Meet us for Children First Groton’s FREE Roaming Readers Storytime at the new pickleball courts next to Groton Public Library on Monday, August 4, 10:30a.m.-12 p.m. Hear a story from Town of Groton Parks & Rec Outreach Coordinator Denisse Sanchez, and meet an animal from Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center!
Free lunch for all children under 18 years of age. Adults are welcome to bring a picnic lunch. Blankets/chairs recommended.
Free and open to the public. Walk-ins welcome.

Meet us for Children First Groton’s FREE Roaming Readers Storytime at the Mystic & Noank Library (meet outside, weather permitting) on Thursday, August 7, 10:30a.m.-12 p.m. Hear a story from a librarian, draw/color in customized story journals, and enjoy time connecting with other caregivers and children. Free lunch for all children under 18 years of age. Adults are welcome to bring a picnic lunch. Blankets/chairs recommended. Free and open to the public. Walk-ins welcome. Adult caregivers must be present with children at all times.

Family Day at City of Groton Farmers Market
Children First Groton is co-sponsoring Family Day at Washington Park for the City of Groton Farmers Market on Tuesday, August 12, 3-6 p.m.
Bring the kids for family fun, family-friendly vendors and giveaways, and food/items available for purchase.

Children First Groton Community Table Meeting
Children First Groton is Groton’s Community Table for Early Start CT, and it meets on a monthly basis to gather Groton caregivers/parents, community partners, childcare providers, and more.

CFG Roaming Readers Storytime: UCONN Library Avery Point
Meet us for Children First Groton’s FREE Roaming Readers Storytime at UCONN Library Avery Point on Thursday, July 31, 10:30a.m.-12 p.m. Meet inside of the library; stroller-friendly ramp available to access the library. Get creative with a craft time, hear a story followed by time to draw/color in customized story journals, and enjoy time connecting with other caregivers and children.
UCONN has provided a link for pre-paid parking that families can use for the morning of July 31 between 10am and noon. This will allow visitors to park in faculty/Area 2 lots, including the lot next to the library, as well as in the pre-paid parking area along the waterfront. This will NOT allow for parking in student lots, and the link will NOT be valid other days/times.
